The 28th 2005 AMC was held on Thursday 04 August. We thank schools from around Australia and countries in the Asia Pacific region for their continued support of this event which dates back to 1978 and continues to be the major mathematics enrichment event in the region in secondary schools.

Since 2004 the event has also been held for students in primary schools. Medals are not issued for primary students but perfect scores (BH Neumann Certificates) are acknowledged and a number of these were achieved and are shown below.

Those from Australia will be presented at a Government House, Melbourne, on Monday 07 November, by the Governor of Victoria, Mr John Landy.

New Zealand Medals were presented in Christchurch on 28 September at the Conference of the New Zealand Association of Mathematics Teachers by Professor Taylor.

Philippine medals were presented at the Department of Science and Technology suites in Manila by the Philippine Secretary for Science and Technology Dr Estrella Alabastro, on Thursday 20 October.

The Brunei Darussalam Medal was presented at a function at the University of Brunei Darussalam on Monday 24 October by Hjh Norjum Bte Hj Yussop, Acting Director of Schools.

Singapore Medals were presented at a function at the Mandarin Hotel, Singapore, on Thursday 27 October by Australia's High Commissioner to Singapore, the Hon Miles Kupa.

Malaysian medals were presented in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday 30 October by Professor Taylor.

Taiwan medals were presented in various school functions by Professor Taylor on 24, 25 and 27 March 2006 in Taiwan.

Hong Kong medals were presented by Mr Chris Wardlaw, Deputy Secretary for the Hong Kong Education and Manpower Bureau, and former Australian Olympic athlete, at a function at the Royal Pacific Hotel, Kowloon, on Thursday 30 March, 2006.
