The Mathematics Challenge for Young Australians attracts about 16,000 entries from Australian High Schools annually. Each year it involves solving six in depth problems over a 3 week period in March. The Challenge has two versions, a Junior version for Year 7 and 8 students and an Intermediate version for Year 9 and 10 students. This book reproduces the problems of both the Junior and Intermediate versions which have been set over the first 6 years of the event, together with solutions and extension questions. It is a valuable resource book for the class room and the talented student.
